Canada Street Warehouse & Showroom, Auckland

Project details

The owner’s brief was startlingly simple: A sustainable showroom and warehouse that would appeal to a broad range of potential tenants. The site on the edge of the Auckland CBD was previously occupied by a collection of run-down 1950s industrial buildings which had outlived their usefulness. In our design we sought to reconcile four major objectives:
To provide a stimulating and comfortable working environment; create optimum storage conditions for the future tenant’s products; to improve the public realm through this intervention and to create an appropriate physical expression for the above requirements.
